Board of Health Member Opportunity
The Board of Health is currently seeking applicants to fill an open position on the board.
Applicants must be:
- A licensed medical physician in the state of Illinois.
- A resident of Marion County.
Anyone interested in serving must submit:
- A written notice of interest.
- A copy of their current Illinois medical physician license.
The current term will expire on November 30, 2026.

The Marion County Board of Health consists of nine members made up of lay people and medical professionals. The Board’s objective is to provide oversight and approval of the Health Department’s policies, procedures and budgeting. It is also their goal to assure that the services provided by the Health Department best meets the needs of our community and protects and promotes public health.
